Art & sustainability:
a balance for eternity.
When it comes to packaging and transportation, we prioritize sustainable solutions. In our carpentries, we exclusively use high-quality materials that are scientifically tested, reusable and produced with the minimum on carbon emissions possible.
There is no need to build new crates for every transport. For more than 30 years already Kunsttrans has implemented its own rental crate system. Simple transport up the most sophisticated crates are constantly refurbished, adapted and reused as long as technically possible. This not only saves costs for our clients, but most important minimizes the consumption of precious raw materials. Once a crate reaches its final live circle of course all materials are recycled.
A Europe-wide central logistics system for art and exhibition transport enables cost-effective, efficient, and environmentally conscious fleet and resource management.
Our green art depots, artport und port4art, are designed in passive house style, utilize geothermal energy for climate control, and operate without the use of fossil fuels.
In this way, we guarantee the emission-free storage of your precious artworks. This unique concept in Austria is not only resource-efficient but also environmentally friendly.
Our depots operate carbon-neutral and utilize geothermal energy for climate control. Heat pumps, geothermal probes at a depth of 130 meters, as well as a massive, temperature-stable structure and advanced building technology ensure constant temperatures and humidity. Additionally, photovoltaic systems on the roofs provide independent power supply.
