Unter dem Namen Kunsttrans operieren wir seit 1974 und haben uns auf Kunsttransporte, Ausstellungslogistik, individuelle Kunstverpackung und Lagerung in unseren Depots spezialisiert.
Zudem verfügen wir über eigene Tischlereien an unseren Standorten, in denen wir maßgeschneiderte Transportkisten herstellen, und wir unterstützen unsere Kunden beim sicheren Handling von Kunstwerken.

Wir verankern umweltschonende Prozesse in unserem Kerngeschäft
Um dieses Ziel zu erreichen, arbeitet Kunsttrans mit einem Netzwerk von spezialisierten Kunstlogistikunternehmen aus Belgien (Mobull), den Niederlanden (Kortman) und Deutschland (Hasenkamp) zusammen. In dieser Gruppe können wir Transporte effizient bündeln und so Leerfahrten minimieren. Die optimierte Routenplanung spart nicht nur Kosten, sondern reduziert auch den CO₂-Ausstoß. Durch die gemeinsame Nutzung unserer Kapazitäten bieten wir unseren Kundinnen und Kunden ein nachhaltiges und gleichzeitig wirtschaftliches Transportmodell - ohne Abstriche bei Sicherheit und Professionalität.
Ein wichtiger Schritt in Richtung Nachhaltigkeit ist der Einsatz von EURO 6-LKWs. Erstens stoßen diese Fahrzeuge im Vergleich zu älteren Modellen deutlich weniger Stickoxide und Feinstaub aus, was die Luftqualität verbessert und schädliche Auswirkungen auf Umwelt und Gesundheit reduziert. Als Unternehmen, das regelmäßig lange Strecken zurücklegt, leisten wir damit einen aktiven Beitrag zur Verbesserung der Luftqualität und zum Schutz unserer Umwelt.
Durch den Einsatz unterschiedlicher Fahrzeuggrößen können wir die Individualität der Kunst auch in unseren Transportlösungen umsetzen. So unterhalten wir einen Fuhrpark unterschiedlicher Fahrzeuggrößen, um für jeden Transport das passende Fahrzeug zur Verfügung zu haben.
Wir sensibilisieren unsere Fahrer durch Spritspar- und Energietrainings. Diese Schulungen sind nicht nur eine Investition in das Know-how unserer Mitarbeiter, sondern auch ein wichtiger Beitrag zur Reduzierung unseres ökologischen Fußabdrucks. Durch eine angepasste Fahrweise kann der Kraftstoffverbrauch deutlich gesenkt werden. Schon kleine Veränderungen im Fahrverhalten, wie vorausschauendes Fahren, das Vermeiden von abrupten Beschleunigungsvorgängen oder der optimale Einsatz der Motorbremse, können erhebliche Mengen an Kraftstoff einsparen.
Darüber hinaus unterzieht sich unsere PKW-Flotte einer Transformation hin zur Elektromobilität. Dort, wo Fahrzeuge ersetzt werden, tauschen wird diese sukzessive gegen elektrisch betriebene PKWs und Kleinbusse aus. Diese wiederum werden am Standort unseres Unternehmens CO2-neutral durch die betriebseigene Photovoltaik-Anlage geladen.

Our company headquarters are located in Vienna, where all the threads come together and where our history began. Our roots date back to the time of the monarchy when we were known as the transport company Bäuml & Sons. We have been operating under the name Kunsttrans since 1974, specializing in art transportation, exhibition logistics, custom art packaging, and storage in our depots.
Additionally, we have our own carpentry workshops at our locations, where we manufacture custom transport crates, and we assist our clients in the safe handling of artworks.

We raise awareness among our drivers by educating them on fuel-saving and energy training. These training sessions are not only an investment in our employees’ expertise but also contribute to reducing our ecological footprint. By adapting their driving style, fuel consumption can be significantly reduced. Even small changes, such as anticipatory driving, avoiding abrupt acceleration, or optimal usage of the engine brake, can save substantial amounts of fuel.
Furthermore, our car fleet is undergoing a shift towards electric mobility. Wherever vehicles are replaced, we gradually swap them for electric cars and vans. These, in turn, are charged in a CO₂-neutral manner via the company’s own photovoltaic system at our premises.
